Wilma E. Sisley, age 83, of Lancaster, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on July 30, 1927, in Lancaster, the daughter of Archie and Vera (Elwell) Reynolds. Wilma attended school in Beetown. She was employed with various families in Lancaster as their housekeeper. On November 24, 1943, Wilma was united in marriage to Ervin Hutchcroft. After raising their six children, Wilma was employed at Loudspeaker Component in Lancaster. Ervin preceded her in death on July 3, 1970. She later married Robert Sisley and moved to Colorado. Wilma was employed with Colorado Lace Dry Cleaning as an assistant manager. After living in Colorado for eighteen years, Wilma returned to Lancaster to take care of her mother. Wilma was a member of the Beetown Methodist Church, the Royal Neighbors and the American Legion Auxiliary, serving as past president. She enjoyed shopping and making crafts. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her six children: Bonnie (George) Jackering, Platteville; Patti (John) Metcalf, Lancaster; Dixie (Frank) Riley, Stitzer; Ervin Hutchcroft, Lancaster; Angela (Robert) Arttus, Sparta; Stacey Hutchcroft, Lancaster; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her brothers and sister: Hobart (Ramona) Reynolds, Lancaster; Marshall (Jeannine) Reynolds, Lancaster; Lillian (Dennis) Duncan, Beetown; a sister-in-law, Connie Reynolds, Lancaster; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Hutchcroft, a grandson, Heath Jackering, and a brother, Delano Reynolds.
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 12:00 noon at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends were welcome on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
