Willard J. “Bill” Noble, age 75, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. He was born December 23, 1938, the son of Willard and Isabel (Bowers) Noble. He graduated from Lancaster High School. On October 12, 1963, he married Sandra A. Schmieder at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. He held various sales positions. Bill was employed by Wilkinson Real Estate & Auction Service at the time of his retirement. He was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra; his daughter, Kimberly (Fred) Mitchell and their son, Cameron; his sons: Timothy (Susan) and their daughters, Kendra, Carly, and Cassidy; and Michael (Rhonda) and their children, Sarah, Samuel, and Nicolas; his siblings: Roger (Sheila) Crapp, Virgil (Jean) Cray, Marlene (Richard) Wepking, and Judy Prochaska; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Russell, and his brother-in-law, Tom Prochaska.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church Wednesday morning. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Bill Noble memorial fund has been established.
