Wendell C. Case, age 80, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012, surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer at the Good Samaritan Health Center in Fennimore. He was born on March 23, 1932, in rural Lancaster, to Harry and Rose (Crapp) Case. Wendell was a 1950 graduate of Lancaster High School and spent three years in the Army, stationed in Huntsville, Alabama, before returning to the family farm in 1955. He married Dorothy Ann Reed on December 18, 1953, in Lancaster. Wendell was an engineer at heart and loved figuring out how machines worked and repairing them. He never stopped his drive and desire to learn a new skill and continued to expand his mind. In keeping with Wendells wishes, there was no visitation and private family services were held at a later date. Burial was in Boice Prairie Cemetery, rural Lancaster.
