 Warren H. Koeller, age 92, of Lancaster, formerly of Tennyson, died on Monday, July 8, 2013, at his home in Lancaster. He was born on November 2, 1920, in Potosi Township, the son of Fred and Louisa (Fritz) Koeller. On November 3, 1942, Warren was united in marriage to Lucille Bailie at her family farm in South Lancaster Township. After their marriage the couple farmed fourteen years in the Lancaster area until the purchase of their farm in Potosi Township. He was a member of Davies Memorial United Church of Christ and also served as trustee. He belonged to the F&AM Warren Lodge No. 4 of Potosi; served as a supervisor for Potosi Township from 1968 until 1984, and was on the ASC Committee. Warren enjoyed hunting from deer to turkeys to morels. He also enjoyed many fishing trips here and in northern Wisconsin, plus traveling to Canada and throughout the United States.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Lancaster; one son, John Koeller, Prairie du Chien; three daughters, Judy (Larry) Maahs, Linda (Bob) Schmelz, all of Potosi; Doreen Wagner, Fennimore; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and many members of the Koeller and Bailie family.

In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters and their spouses; a son-in-law, Kenneth Wagner; a grandson, Daniel R. Schmelz and many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral and Masonic services were held on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Potosi at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Petra Streiff officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family and friends called on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
