Walter J. Plautz, age 95, passed away on June 10, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. He was born June 1, 1923 in Beetown, WI, the son of Carl and Bertha (Losch) Plautz. Walter was a lifelong farmer and served his county during the 1940’s in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lancaster, WI.
He is survived by his brother, Fred Plautz; a sister, Dorothy Fritz; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by five brothers: Herman, William, Carl, Arno and Hubert Plautz; and three sisters: Eda and Martha Plautz, and Edna Latham.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Little Grant Cemetery in Little Grant Township, with Rev. Mark Dieter officiating. The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Bloomington is entrusted with his services.
