Veronica F. "Frances" Hall

Veronica Frances Hall, age 99, of Lancaster, died on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at the Lancaster Care Center, Lancaster. She was born December 9, 1908, in Platteville, the daughter of Hollis and Mary (Fuerstenberg) Cummins. On June 29, 1929, Frances was united in marriage to Nathan C. Hall in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Frances was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church, Lancaster. She enjoyed listening to her scanner and going out to eat fish.

Survivors include her children: James (Rachel) Hall, Dubuque, IA; Jane (Kent) Borcherding, Hazel Green; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, LaVon H. Hall, Lancaster; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Hollis and Mary Cummins, Frances was preceded in death by one son, LaVon C. Hall on February 28, 2003; and sisters, Martha Cummins and Gertrude Ellis.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends called on Thursday, September 11, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
