 Treasure L. Myhre,  age 76, of Bagley, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien, WI.

Treasure was born on December 24, 1936 in Patch Grove, WI, a daughter of Elgie and Lucille (Pake) Brookens. She attended school in Bloomington. In 1956, Treasure was united in marriage to Mervin Myhre at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. After their marriage, the couple resided in Bloomington.

Treasure drove school bus for 28 years. Treasure is best known for her love of animals and garage sales. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Treasure is survived by her children, Wayne (Michelle) Myhre, Bloomington, Scott (Pam) Myhre, Bagley, and Sherry (Mike) Bartels, Avoca; nine grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; a brother, Herb (Charlotte) Brookens, Prairie du Chien; brothers-in-law, Gerald Myhre, Belmont, and Jerome (Myrna) Myhre, Georgetown, TX; a sister-in-law, Virginia Howard, Whitehall; and other loving relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin; her parents; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Myhre; a brother-in-law, Milton Howard; and a niece, Julie.

Funeral Services were held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington, with Fr. John Meinholz officiating. Friends called from 10 am until the start of services Saturday at the church. Burial was at Blakes Prairie Cemetery, Bloomington. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington is serving the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to West Grant Rescue Squad or Bagley First Responders.
