Timothy E. Wilkinson

Timothy E. Wilkinson, age 51, of Mt. Hope, died on July 4, 2011, at home on his farm following a sudden and quick battle with a rare neurodegenerative disease. He was born on September 12, 1959, to William Bill and Catherine Kitty (Dressler) Wilkinson. He married Ann M. Laufenberg on July 28, 1978. Together they operated the family farm. His passion for farming was evident throughout his life. He also did other side jobs off the farm and most recently obtained his CDL. Tim enjoyed playing softball, basketball, shooting pool and playing cards. He was a well respected and well liked man to many. His contentment with life was admirable. Tim did not ask for much nor did you hear him complain too much. His two grand-girls brought a new meaning to his life in the most recent years.

Survivors include his wife, Ann of Mt. Hope; one daughter, Bobbie J. (Brent) Ledbury, Hudson and their two girls, Lauren and Lilith Lily; his parents: William Bill and Catherine Kitty Wilkinson, Mt. Hope; his brother, Todd E. Wilkinson, Prairie du Chien; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother Tedd E. Wilkinson, who died at birth.

To honor Tims wishes, a private family service and burial will be held on his farm at a later date. Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington is assisting the family.
