Thomas C. "Tom" Walker, age 64, of Cassville, died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at his home in Cassville. He was born on September 11, 1948, in Potosi, the son of Chris and Lois (Clark) Walker. Tom graduated from Cassville High School in 1966. Following graduation, he entered the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War, stationed in Vietnam and Germany. On December 16, 1972, Tom was united in marriage to Roberta Margaret Petersen at Lake Zurich, IL. Tom was employed at John Deere Dubuque Works for thirty years, retiring in December of 1999. He was a member of the Cassville Fire Department, VFW Post No. 7080 of Cassville and a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta; their children: Stacy Walker, Tom (Jessica) Walker, Jr., Dan (Holly) Walker and Philip Walker; four grandchildren: Jake, Brandon, Logan and Ethan; his sister, Deb (Doug Dobson) Walker; half-brother, Ron (Deb) Walker; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Walker.
Funeral services with military honors were held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Cassville with Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date. Family and friends called on Monday, February 11, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Cassville and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
