Theodore T. Schmidt

Theodore T. Schmidt, age 52, of Portland, OR formerly of Luck, WI and Minneapolis, MN, died on Monday, September 23, 2013, at his home of natural causes. He was born on February 27, 1961, in Lancaster, the son of Karl and Mary Ann (Beetham) Schmidt. Ted graduated from Lancaster High School in 1979. Following his graduation, he furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received a degree in finance. After a long career in international finance and consulting, he moved to Portland and took a much needed break from his fast paced life.

Teds greatest joys in life were his dogs and his lake house that he poured his heart and soul into remodeling. He took great pleasure into sharing that retreat with his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann Schmidt; his siblings: Debbie Kelly and her children, Erin (Brandon), Erica (Jeff), and Elise (Alex); Dennis (Becky) Schmidt and their children, Stephanie (Jon), Stephen, Rachel and Rene`; Rick Schmidt; and Shari Schmidt as well as aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Ted was preceded in death by his father, Karl Sonny in 2001, his grandparents Carl Lanky Schmidt and Rethal Dyrendahl, and Cecil & Irene Beetham, and a brother-in-law, Teddy Kelly.

Private Family Funeral Services will be at a later date. Burial will be at a later date. Friends called on Sunday, October 6, 2013. from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster.
