Tara Ann (Rooney) Marshall, age 32, of Bloomington, died on Sunday, July 18, 2010 as the result of an accident at her home in Bloomington.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomington with Rev. John Meinholz officiating. Burial was held in Nagle-Union Cemetery in Patch Grove Township. Friends were welcome from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington is serving the family.

Tara was born on July 22, 1977 in Prairie du Chien, WI, the daughter of Greg and Cindy (Jelinek) Rooney. In 1991, the family moved from Gotham, WI to Patch Grove, WI. While in school, she enjoyed playing volleyball, cheerleading and being on the dance team. Tara was even asked to participate in dancing for the Queen in London, England in 1993. She graduated from West Grant High School in 1995 and continued her education at S.W.T.C. in Fennimore and graduated in 1997 with an associates degree in Business Administration. Tara was currently employed at Wisconsin State Correctional Facility in Prairie du Chien as the Warden's personal confidential secretary.

Tara is survived by her children: Tayler and Tamerik Marshall, Bloomington and their father, Troy Marshall, Woodman; her parents, Greg and Cindy Rooney, Patch Grove; three siblings: Seth (Bridget) Rooney, Chippewa Falls, Miranda (Mike) Schramm, Lancaster and Grant (Tricia Walsh) Rooney,  Prairie du Chien; nieces and nephew: Jayden, Emma and Mazie Schramm; her Grandmother, Ramona Jelinek.

She was preceded in death by her Grandmother and Grandfathers, Alice Rooney, Francis Rooney and LaVerne Jelinek.
