Stanley Lickel

 Stanley E. Lickel, age 65, passed away at his home on March 1, 2016. He was born September 5, 1950 to Frederick and Alice (Grunenwald) Lickel. He graduated from Lancaster High School and served in US Army Intelligence, stationed in Germany, during the Cold War. He spent much of his career in manufacturing. He enjoyed raising heirloom tomatoes, birdwatching, reading newspapers, and volunteering at Dubuque Regional Humane Society.

He is survived by his brother Fred (Pam) Lickel of Madison; sister Lois (William) Sherwin of Albany; four nieces Robin, Heather, Teal and Lacey; extended family and friends.

At his request there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster is assisting the family.
