Stanley L. Kauffman

Stanley L. Kauffman, age 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022. He was born on October 28, 1932, the son of John and Opal (Miller) Kauffman. On March 27, 1958, Stanley was united in marriage to Catherine H. Morse, at the Lancaster United Methodist Church. He was employed at Dubuque Pack for over 30 years. In his retirement years, Stanley worked for the Lancaster Newspaper and the City of Lancaster Parks Department. He dearly loved spending time with his family and friends. Stanley also enjoyed attending auctions, sporting events, and rodeos as well as tractors and country music. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Catherine; their children: Donna (Kenny) Abing, Robert (Pam), Barbara, William (Thersa) Kauffman; his sister, Judy Evans; grandchildren: Michael and Christopher Abing, Lindsey Brown, Benjamin, Jacob, and Douglas Kauffman, Jessica Bober, Krysthol Davis, Jon, Jaymes, and Brandi Kauffman, Chloe Heberlein, Peyton, Damian, and Jayda Kauffman; step-grandchildren: Tiffany Bailey and Tori Rippl; numerous great-grandchildren; in-laws: James Carroll and Alice Morse; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and his mother and father-in-law, Stanley was preceded in death by his siblings: Russell, Donald (Geraldine), John “Baldy” (Marie) Jr., and Kenneth (Annie) Kauffman; in-laws: Bert Morse, Carol Carroll, and Helen (Wally) Wentz.
A Celebration of Stanley’s life along with military honors will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Zippy’s Brass Rail in Lancaster. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
