Sherry K. Fuller

Earth lost a gentle soul on Saturday, November 4, 2023, when Sherry Kay Fuller passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, which would have been her 51^st wedding anniversary with Jim. Sherry was born on September 15, 1952, in Lancaster, Wisconsin the daughter of Howard and Darlene (Brauchler) Meighan.  She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1970 and furthered her education at Madison Area Technical College where she earned her LPN license. On November 4, 1972, Sherry was united in marriage to James S. “Jim” Fuller at the Lancaster United Methodist Church. They went on to welcome their daughter Heather and their son Bart. She began her nursing career at the Lancaster Care Center until she switched to clinical nursing at Grant Community Clinic. She stayed at the clinic until she retired. Sherry had a special kindness when she interacted with friends, family, and patients. She had a huge heart and would never cause anyone else an ounce of discomfort. Sherry was thoughtful, generous and was truly loved and admired by everyone who met her. She earned the respect of every doctor, nurse, and patient she encountered. Jim and Sherry enjoyed fishing, entertaining friends, reading, and spending time at their cabin in Ferryville.  In retirement they spent their winters in Naples, Florida, where they watched the manatees, alligators, and tropical birds. Sherry dearly loved her family, especially the time spent with her beloved grandson, Vincent.

Sherry is survived by her daughter, Heather (Reggie Baxter) Fuller, her son Bart (Jociene) Fuller and her grandson Vincent. She is further survived by two brothers: Mike (Laurie) and Jeff (Susan) Meighan; nieces, nephews; two brothers-in-law: John (Jean) and David (Barb Stevens) Fuller.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her husband Jim on July 27, 2021.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster.  Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster.  Family and friends may call on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
