LANCASTER – Sharon K. Myers, age 84 of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born September 1, 1939, the daughter of William “Bill” and Ocea (Miller) Peake. Sharon graduated from Lancaster High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Timothy L. Myers, and together they farmed the Myers Family Farm in Glen Haven township. Sharon later was employed with Homeward Bound and Grant Regional Health Center, both in Lancaster. She was a member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, being with her friends and shopping. She was a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed listening to Elvis.
Surviving is a son, Tim (Lori Hullermann) Myers; a daughter, Stacey Myers; a brother, William “Jr.” Peake; a sister, Sandra (Gary) Koeller; sister-in-law, Karen (Robert) Harris; brother-in-law, Roy (Janice) Myers Jr.; daughter-in-law, Sue Van Natta; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Rick Van Natta.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, with Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Private family burial will be in Blake’s Prairie Cemetery, Bloomington Township, at a later date. Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
