 Sharon L. Martin, age 58, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Orchard Manor, rural Lancaster, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on April 28, 1951, in Lancaster, the daughter of Carl and Genelda (Pierce) Martin. Sharon worked and attended workshops at the Hodan Center in Mineral Point and Southwest Opportunities Center in Lancaster. She enjoyed bowling, Special Olympics and attending Badger Camp. Sharon also loved to cut out coupons, collecting key chains and mugs. She had attended Grace Lutheran Church in East Dubuque, IL.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Genelda Krafjack, Lancaster; three sisters and one brother: Shirley (Doug) Orr, Prairie du Sac, Connie (Danny) Hamilton, Albuquerque, NM, Dyke (Joan) Martin, Hazel Green and Patty (fiance, Phil Beckman) Kehoe, Dubuque, IA; two half-sisters and one half-brother: Terri (Ronald) Abing, Lancaster, Kim (Chuck Abing) Martin, Lancaster and Allen (Stacey) Martin, Mt. Hope; her dog, Pee Wee; many loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl; her step-father, Richard "daddy" Krafjack; her grandparents; her brother-in-law, Rudy Trujillo and an uncle, Clarence Stoney.

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 19, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Andrew Oppedahl officiating. Burial was held in the Cassville Cemetery. Friends called on Monday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Sharon L. Martin memorial fund has been established.

Sharon's family would like to thank Orchard Manor, Grant County Hospice and Homeward Bound for the wonderful care and compassion they provided.
