Rosetta Lucille Lau, age 96, of Cassville, WI, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on September 3, 1914, in Cassville, the daughter of James and Rosa (Caspers) Dolphin. Rosetta was united in marriage to Leo F. Lau at St. Charles Catholic Church. She was a homemaker as well as a seamstress. Additionally, she was employed at the Sandbar Motel. Rosetta enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, walking the dog and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
Rosetta is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Ken) Schauff, Cassville; three grandchildren: Torey (Shannon Coco) Schauff, Belleville; Melissa (Chris) Hoffmann, Brooklyn Park, MN; Bridget Schauff, Madison; six great-grandchildren: Alex and Maxwell Schauff, Tyler, Autumn, Trey and Ashlyn Hoffmann; foster child, Cynthia Kauffman Zittlow; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband and her four sisters: Leona Heraty, Luella Cody, Colleen Turner, and Helen Biggin.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville, with Father John Meinholz and Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Visitation was from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Cassville is serving her family.
