Rosemary Wolf, age 64, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016,
surrounded by her loving family by her side at Orchard Manor Nursing Home after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on February 8, 1952, the daughter of Dorman and Genevieve (Sherwin) Losch, in Lancaster. Rosemary graduated from Lancaster High School in 1970 and earned her LPN degree from MATC in Madison in 1971. She was employed at the Lancaster Care Center for 40 years as an LPN and at Lancaster High School as a teaching assistant for 13 years.
Rosemary was united in marriage for43 years, to the love of her life Mark Wolf, on October 7, 1972 at St Clement Catholic Church, Lancaster. Rosemary enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband Mark at Lake Joy. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and going to their many activities. She adored her husband and valued their time together, especially as her primary caregiver.
Rosemary is survived by her devoted husband, Mark; son, Todd (Sheri) their children, Lindsey, Alexander, and Logan of Lancaster; son, Jeff (Shelly) their children, Amya and Keyonna of Peosta, IA.; daughter, Amy (Jon) Schuldt and their daughters, Mackinley and Lianna of Fort Atkinson, WI. She is further survived by a sister, Bev Fishnick; and brothers and sisters-in-law; Larry (Pam) Wolf; Jann (Richard) Harms; Kris Wolf and Sherry Losch; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Robert & Marian Wolf, a brother, Donald, a brother-in-law, Doug Wolf, and a nephew, Dennis Fishnick.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Church, Lancaster with Reverend John Sasse officiating. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Visitation was held on Monday, August 29, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Church where a 3:40 p.m. parish rosary will be prayed. Family and friends also called one hour prior to the time of the service on Tuesday. Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rosemary Wolf Memorial Fund.
