CASSVILLE – Rose Mary Schnorrenberg, age 96, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. She was born on August 2, 1926, the daughter of Clifford and Agnes (Brinkman) Shaben. Rose graduated from Cassville High School in 1946. After graduation she was employed at the battery factory in Dubuque, IA. She also worked as a waitress, bartender and at Okey’s Market. On July 23, 1969, she was united in marriage to Robert J. “John” Schnorrenberg in Stillwater, Minnesota. Rose enjoyed bowling for the Walz Lumber Company team and served as the secretary for the team. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and crocheting. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving is her husband: John; her children: Darlene (Gene) Willkomm, Jim (Charlene) Cadwell, and Linda (Don) Montanye; grandchildren: Angela (Bob Smith) Pebworth, Eric (Stacy Gartman) Willkomm, Kristin (Scott) Nash, and Holly (Mike) Hanson; five great grandchildren, one great great grandson, her siblings: Lila Hochhausen, Lonny (Helen) Shaben, Gloria ( Robert “Bob”) Hudson, and Judy (Dennis) Laufenberg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Jean (Vince “Krum”) Vondrum, LeRoy Shaben, John (Marlene) Shaben, Lea Mae (Lester) Esser, and Joanne “Sis” (Gerald) Duncan; a brother-in-law: Julius “Jupe” Hochhausen; a grandson: Scott Cadwell; a grandson-in-law: George Pebworth; and her beloved dog: Ginger.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Cassville Cemetery, rural Cassville. Family and friends are welcome to attend graveside services and are encouraged to dress casually. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
