Rose Ann Duncan, age 54, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at her home. She was born on October 4, 1962, the daughter of Roger and Mary Ann (Mislivecek) Chase. Rose graduated from Lancaster High School in 1981 and from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in 1985. On October 3, 1987, Rose was united in marriage to Gary L. Duncan at the Lancaster United Methodist Church. She was employed at the Farm Service Agency in Lancaster for more than 30 years. Rose was a member and organist at the Beetown United Methodist Church. She dearly loved her family and devoted her time to their activities as they were very active in sports and music.
Survivors include her husband Gary; their children: Chase, Andrea, and Shaina Duncan; her father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Lillian "Bid" Duncan and their family; a sister, Angie (Jeff) Finney; a brother, Jeff (Jennifer) Chase; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of the Chase family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Mary Ann Chase.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lancaster United Methodist Church with Reverend Jean Schmidt, Reverend Barbara Cook, and Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Monday, December 19, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Rose Ann Duncan Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is serving the family.
