Rosalyn L. Walz, age 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Lancaster Care Center, Lancaster. She was born on February 1, 1931, in Cassville, the daughter of Virgil and Lillian (Bausch) Hampton. Rosalyn graduated from Cassville High School. On August 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Harold B. Walz at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glen Haven. After their marriage, the couple traveled all over the world while Harold served his country in the United States Navy for twenty years. Following Harold's honorable discharge they moved to Prairie du Chien, retiring in 1989. Rosalyn enjoyed camping, crossword puzzles, paint-by-numbers and going to craft shows and flea markets.

Survivors include her daughter, Dianna (Roger) James; grandchildren: Crystal (Bethel) Tremmell; Serena Kapple; Emily Rush; great-grandchildren: Kayla Ward; Amara, Abriella, and Ainsley Tremmell; Jayde Kapple and Milo Leck; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Kathy Hampton; Virginia Walz; Gene (Pat) Walz; Lois (Vernon) Krantz; Janice (Warren) Johll; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rosalyn was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Jerry Hampton and a brothers-in-law, Robert Walz and Celestine Walz.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Care Center Chapel, Lancaster. Burial was in Charlotte Cemetery, Glen Haven. Family and friends called on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the nursing home. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Rosalyn L. Walz Memorial Fund has been established. Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
