Rosalie A. Friederick, age 49, of Lancaster, died on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the Finley Hospital, Dubuque. She was born on December 17, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Edmund and Helen (Leibold) Droessler. Rosalie graduated from Lancaster High School and attended Southwest Tech in Fennimore. On May 12, 1984, she was united in marriage to Matthew Friederick at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. After their marriage, Rosalie was employed with M & I Bank as a secretary for 29 years, until her retirement in 2009.
Rosalie was an avid Cubs and Badgers fan and she loved to play games. She enjoyed being on the river and pontooning. Rosalie always had a great attitude and was the life of the party. She especially loved all her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Matthew Friederick, Lancaster; her sister, Beverly (Larry) Copus, Stilwell, KS; her brother, Mark (Julie) Droessler, Walford, IA; her mother-in-law, Pat Friederick, Potosi; six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Judy (Dave) Irish, Neil Friederick (Trisha Mergen) and Russ (Arlene) Friederick, all of Potosi; Monica (Jon) Reiten, Balsam Lake, WI, Annette Jepperson, Potosi and Kirk (Jen) Friederick, Dubuque, IA; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, Earl Friederick.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father Ron Rank officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends called on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. where there will be a Prayer Service at 3:45 and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services all at St. Clement Catholic Church.
