Roger L. Schauff

Roger L. Schauff, age 66 of Cassville, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1958, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Frances (Wegmann) Schauff. Roger graduated from Cassville High School in 1976 and furthered his education at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, becoming a journeyman plumber. He worked for Schauff Plumbing and Heating, Friesen Plumbing and Heating, and later became a patrolman for the Grant County Highway Department for 32 years, retiring in 2019. On April 24, 1982, Roger was united in marriage to Lorie L. Fishnick at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching his grandchildren and attending their sporting events and taking care of his lawn. Roger was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and liked watching the Green Bay Packers, UW Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lorie; three sons: Mitch (Mary), Ned (Krista) and Joseph Schauff; nine grandchildren: Cole, Blake, Grant, Addy, Audrey, Finley, Sawyer, Brigham, and Emma; three sisters: Janet (Donnie) Kelley, Ann Schauff, and Connie (Bob) Muth; members of the Fishnick family, other relatives and many friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father Mark Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Settlement Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends may call on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory in Cassville is assisting the family.
