Roger Maahs

Roger K. Maahs, age 54, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster with his family by his side. Roger was born February 16, 1960 in Lancaster, the son of Scharon Buster and Lois Maahs.

Roger enjoyed deer hunting, and was an avid logger until a motorcycle accident in 1991. In recent years, Roger enjoyed playing cards, listening to the radio, and going for car rides.

He is survived by his mother, Lois Maahs; his children, Christhopher (Ashley) Maahs of Potosi and Shaun (Jesse Fry) Hines of Cassville; two brothers, Doug (Marcia) & Denny (Terry) all of Cassville; his grandchildren, Xavier and Cassidy Maahs, Hailey Hines, Ariat Fry, and Wyatt Ley; Nieces, Erica (Jordan Thoma) Maahs of Cassville and Kelly Maahs of La Crosse; a nephew, Kyle Maahs of Prairie du chien; step-nieces, Tami (Mike) Lamere of Green Bay and Bobbi (Dan) Zauner of Cross Plains; great nieces and nephews, and by his wife, Laurie Maahs of Potosi.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Scharon Buster; a brother, Ronald; and by his grandparents, Roy & Eunice Maahs, and Evelyn Donaldson.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m.. at J&J Sandbar Restaurant in Cassville. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cassville is assisting the family.
