Robin J. Balch

Robin J. Balch, age 62, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 29, 1961, the daughter of Emil and Catherine (Hochhausen) Vogt. Robin graduated from Cassville High School in 1979. She worked in retail at Kohl’s in Madison. Robin helped with the display areas throughout the store. She worked in many departments, but had to retire after 20 years, due to her illness. She was united in marriage to Andrew Balch on May 2, 1992. Together they lived in rural Blanchardville, and later in Madison. She moved back to Lancaster in 2019. Robin enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved to take care of her fur babies, especially her last dog Connor.

Surviving and her brothers: Richard (Marlene), David and Ken Vogt; her sister: Karen (Gary) Mahr; and many nieces and nephews.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents: Emil and Catherine; her loving husband: Andrew; and her special god child: D.J. Heiligenthal.

In keeping with Robin’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
