Robert L. Richardson

Robert Rob L. Richardson, age 35, of Benton, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at his home. He was born on August 10, 1979, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Robert J. and Lila J. (Chambers) Richardson. Rob was raised in Dickeyville and graduated from Cuba City High School in 1998. He furthered his education at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, graduating in 2000. Rob worked several different jobs, most recently being employed at Lactose Cheese Factory in Belmont.

Survivors include his mother, Lila Richardson; a sister, Kimberly (fianc Steve Robinson) Cooley; a brother, James J. Richardson; a niece, Kadance Cooley; nephews, Spencer and Gavyn Cooley; a special friend, Rachael Keck; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dog, Bella.

Rob was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Edmond and Vera (Kitto) Richardson; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Marilyn (Scheppele) Chambers; and step-grandfather, Arnie Fox.

Memorial services were held on Monday, December 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Davies Memorial Church of Christ in Potosi with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends called on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Potosi is serving the family.
