Robert H. Marshall, age 82, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Bagley, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien. He was born on May 16, 1926, in Little Grant Township, WI, the son of Lee and Esther (McQuistion) Marshall. Bob attended school in Glass Hollow. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bob was a riverboat pilot and worked for River Valley Barge Lines for 40 years. He liked heavy equipment and, after retiring, he enjoyed working on a metal lathe at his shop in Bagley. Bob was a member of the Liscum Brothers American Legion Post # 482 of Bagley. He enjoyed socializing with his friends and loved his dog, "Tigger."
He is survived one sister, June Sylvester, Bagley; one brother, Bill Marshall, Bagley; and many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Lee Telford and LaVern, Russell, and Merle Marshall; and his sister, Fern Knapp
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Bagley United Methodist Church with Reverend Mary Ann Floerke officiating. Burial with military honors was in Bagley Cemetery. Friends called from 9:30 until the time of services at the church on Thursday.
