Robert Draves

Robert K. Draves, age 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. He was born on April 12, 1930, in Boscobel, the son of August and Hazel Draves. Bob worked as a mechanic technician at Skyline Manufactured Homes out of Lancaster and eight years for the Grant County Sheriff's Department. He lived in Fennimore until he married Eileen Potter Janssen on July 24, 1963, when they moved to Lancaster. Bob's interest included bowling, Pro Motorcycle Hill Climbers, and woodworking. He belonged to the Masonic Blue Lodge in Fennimore. He was a 33^rd Degree Mason.

Survivors include his step-children: Alonna (Phil) Pointon, Baraboo; Patti (Curtis) Busby, Oklahoma City, OK; Rodger Janssen, Lancaster; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren as well as cousins.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Eileen, Bob was preceded in death by his sisters: Jean Henkle and Dorothy Carter.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 S Madison Street, Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial was in Prairie Cemetery, Fennimore. Family and friends called on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Masonic services took place on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
