Ralph Roy Krepfle, 90, of Weatherly, PA passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Heritage Hills, Weatherly, PA.
Widower of Alma A (Kerkenbush) Krepfle, ''his one and only'', who passed away on February 15, 2015, after nearly 67 years of marriage and raising 8 children in Potosi, WI. Ralph is survived by Sons: Keith Krepfle (fiancee Michelle Darcey) Drums, PA; Michael Krepfle Madison, WI and Robert (Stacy) Krepfle Lakeville, MN. Daughters: Kay (Roger) Leitzen Milaca, MN; Ann (Dr. Terry) Boyle Potosi, WI; Patricia (Brad) Reuter Potosi, WI and Pamela (Tim) Burling Verona, WI. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive him.
Ralph worked as a financial planner for IDS and was awarded top representative for several years. He worked at John Deere, Inc., Dubuque, IA. Ralph also managed for 25 years at Keehner Farm Implement, Potosi, WI. He said it was satisfying to help the hardworking local farmers stay productive. He then worked for Pioneer Motors, Inc., Lancaster, WI. When living in Potosi, Ralph was active at St. Thomas Catholic Church as an usher, cemetery committee, Parish Council and numerous other committees. He was also active on various positions with the Village of Potosi Board. He took pride in his Church and community services. In his youth, Ralph played Major League baseball with the Chicago Cub's affiliate. He pitched semi-pro fast pitch for many years. He also officiated and umpired more games than can be counted. Ralph very much enjoyed golfing at Lancaster Country Club and many other courses country wide with family and various friends. Ralph supported his children in their sports from amateur to the professional levels.
Born April 30, 1925, in Elkport, IA, son of the late Joseph and Pearl (Harbaugh) Krepfle. Predeceased by his brother, Richard Krepfle, a sister, Mary Alice Krepfle, a son, Raymond in 2013 and step-grandson, Matthew Boyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tennyson, WI on Friday, June 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Interment was in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Tennyson, WI. Family and friends called on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the Martin Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Potosi.
