Pearl M. Runde

Pearl M. Runde, age 87, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on February 17, 1924, in Beetown Township, the daughter of Harry and Hannah (Bast) Bass. On December 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Al Runde at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. Pearl loved to play cards, go fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-nine years, Al Runde, Lancaster; her children: Larry (Judy) Runde, Lancaster; Trudy Runde, Madison; Terry Runde, Manitowoc; grandchildren: Amy Runde, Japan; Walt Runde, Berthoud, CO; Shannon (Mark) Broker, Neenah; Kristal Runde, Cross Plains; Karen Runde, Lancaster; and two great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Tyler Broker.

In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her brother, Harold; sister-in-law, and one nephew.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 18, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Sunday, April 17, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Pearl M. Runde Memorial Fund has been established.
