Paul M. Pink, age 72, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at U W Hospital in Madison. He was born August 13, 1939 in Lancaster, the son of Edward and Florence (Bazinet) Pink. Paul married Rachael E. Gotto on September 28, 1959 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington. He was employed at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works. Paul and Rachael also farmed in rural Lancaster. After his retirement, Paul was a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. Paul enjoyed watching T.V., playing cards and summer car cruises with friends. The ultimate joys of his life were his children, grandchildren, and most of all, spending time with the love of his life, Rachael.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rachael; daughters: Karen (Jeff Dombeck) Bast; Susan (Pete) Harkness; Victoria (Bob) Leuthner; grandchildren: Nichole (Scott Genz) Ploessl; Ashley (Roger) Patrick; Dylan and Allie Harkness; Elizabeth, Margaret and Lucille Leuthner; great-grandchildren: Ross and Grant Ploessl and Bryson Patrick; his mother-in-law, Margaret Gotto and her family; his brother, Harold; his sisters: Sr. Claire, Bernadine (Ronald) Millin; Irene (Frank) Buhl; Monica (Robert) Eversoll; Bette (Tim) Pink; sister-in-law, Joyce Pink; and a brother-in-law, Leland Haines; and many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Dianne; his parents; his father-in-law, Clarence Gotto; son-in-law, Steve Bast; brother, David; a sister, Ruth Ann Haines; brother-in-law, James Gotto; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Pink.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster. Friends also called on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Paul M. Pink memorial fund was established.
