Paul M. Moore, age 69, of Lancaster, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at UW Hospitals in Madison. He was born on June 21, 1941, in Slabtown, the son of Harley and Leone (Ames) Moore. On June 15, 1963, Paul was united in marriage to Alice LaMere at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. Paul was a very busy man who didnt sit still for very long. He thoroughly enjoyed his family. His four children and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Paul enjoyed time spent at the holidays and attending the various events for his grandchildren. He will miss his Mas Bakery Crew with whom he spent nearly every Saturday morning gathering for coffee and breakfast with his son, Derek.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Alice Moore; daughter, Paula (Steve) Landon, Zach, Jen, and Brent; daughter, Susan (Paul) Zenz, Calvin, Nikki, Amanda and Phillip; daughter, Billiejo (Dan Hyer) Moore, John, Austin, Alysa; and son, Derek (Stephanie Pitzen) Moore, Trent and Sydney; extra special great-granddaughter, Malorie; sisters: Lorraine Klaas, Judy (Charlie) Kuenster, and Linda (Ted) Wilson; brothers: Allen (Mary), Harley Joe (Vivian), and Larry (Peg) Moore; sister-in-law, Jann (Terry) McCann; brothers-in-law, Jim (Sandy) LaMere and Gaylord LaMere; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers: Jerry (Betty), Johnny (Evelyn) and Floyd Klaas; in-laws: Raymond, Ivanelle, and Dennis LaMere; niece and nephews, Dixie and Denny Lau, and Craig LaMere.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Friday, May 6, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
