Paul J. Biba, age 78, of Lancaster, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. He was born on February 2, 1934. in Castle Rock Township, the son of Ignatius Jake and Josephine (Pettera) Biba.
Paul loved life and was always concerned how his brothers were; devotion he held and spoke to often. He would smile as to looking into the past when talking of their times at the old Foley school. He loved to dance and loved music, especially Polka music, as his nurses knew. Paul will be missed by all those who knew him.
Paul is survived by his brothers, Joe (Arlene) Biba, Waunakee; Jim (Beverly) Biba, Greenfield; Leo (Barbara) Biba, North Carolina; and Bernard (Sharon) Biba, Delafied, along with sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Ethel and Marie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Helen, John Jack, Louis, Natz, George, Vandy, Marion, David, and Tom; also leaving behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 18, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Orchard Manor Nursing Home Chapel in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial was in St. John Nepomuc Cemetery, Castle Rock Township. Family and friends called on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at Orchard Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Lancaster. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster served the family.
Our thanks go out to the caretakers for the love and care given to Paul at Orchard Manor for so long. They were more than family to him.
