Paul F. White, age 79, of Glen Haven, died on Friday, August 05, 2011, surrounded by his family at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. He was born on August 15, 1931, on the family farm in Bloomington Township, the son of Everett Buck and Leona (Berntgen) White. Paul attended St. Marys Catholic School in Glen Haven and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1949. After graduation, Paul worked for his father on the family farm. On August 23, 1951, he was united in marriage to Patricia Hamilton at St. Marys Catholic Church in Glen Haven. After their marriage, Paul worked for Glen Haven Township. In 1961, they farmed Patricias family farm. In 1988, the couple moved to Glen Haven. Paul drove truck for Lancaster Stone for five years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards, especially cribbage. Paul loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would pick on anyone who would let him. Paul especially enjoyed Ranger Ridingwith family and the annual Knights of Columbus Bowling tournaments. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Glen Haven, the Knights of Columbus Council 4416 and the Glen Haven Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia White, Glen Haven; children: Kathy (Dave) Hochhausen, Cassville; Lori (Kelvin Lancaster) Lenz, Mineral Point; Robert (Kaaren) White, New Mexico; Deb (Frank) VanBogaert, Glen Haven; Bart (Mary Sue) White, Glen Haven; Bill (Janis) White, Clinton, IA; Brad (Jane) White, Glen Haven; Ron (Vicki) White, Lancaster; Doug (Rita) White, Bagley; Wendy (Conrad) Myers, Bagley; Kerri Weber, Prairie du Chien; Steve (Jenefer) White, Blanchardville; 40 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Vernon (Ann) White, Lancaster; one sister, Sharon (Mike) Weber, Glen Haven; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Marissa Zach and a sister-in-law, Barbara White.

Funeral services were on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Glen Haven with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in Gockel Cemetery, Glen Haven. Family and friends called on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where a 3:45 Knights of Columbus Rosary was held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Glen Haven. Friends also called on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be offered to the Glen Haven Volunteer Fire Department or the West Grant Rescue Squad. Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington is assisting the family.
