Patrick J. “Buck” Ploessl age 51, of Cassville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. He was born July 31, 1961, in Lancaster, the son of Clifford and Helen (Vondrum) Ploessl. In his early years, Pat lived in Colorado and worked in Construction. After moving back to Cassville, he drove long haul with his father. Pat was later employed with Artco Fleeting Services and The DTE power plant in Cassville. On April 11, 2003, Pat married Christine M. Wolf. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Pat was a natural athlete, enjoying many sports activities. He was a girl’s basketball assistant coach at St. Charles School, which his daughters participated in. Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends on the Mississippi River.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Chris; a devoted father to his children: Stephanie, Brooke, Brianna, and Alex. Also surviving are his brothers: David (Vicki); Ken (Mary); Robert; Thomas (Anne); Doug (Cindy); Ron; Greg (Rhonda); Daniel and his sister, Diane Ploessl; his mother and father-in-law, Norma and Rodney Wolf; his special aunt, Mary Vondrum; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Cassville. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Patrick J. Ploessl Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cassville is serving the family.
