Patricia Mary McCartney, age 85, of Baraboo, formerly of Tennyson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 22, 1931, in Tennyson, the daughter of Edward and Ina (Reed) Stohlmeyer. Patricia spent the last forty-four years with the love of her life, Richard Slater. She dearly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Patricia also enjoyed many hours of reading, putting puzzles together, playing cards, bingo, and embroidery.

Survivors include the love of her life, Richard Slater, Baraboo; daughters: Shirley Kilby (Donald), Richland Center; Carol (Bernie) Disch, Dickeyville; Linda Kitto, Baraboo; Jeanette Kotte, Muscoda; Mary McCartney (Bill), Baraboo; step-children: Laura Paukstat, Sun Prairie; Shirley (Jeremy) Parks, Baraboo; Roger Slater, Baraboo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Cahill, Dubuque, IA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Kitto; son, Paul Fetzek; grandson, Kip Allen Kitto, Jr.; son-in-law, Kip Allen Kitto, Sr.; her sisters: Charlotte (Norman) Jotham; Catherine (John) Arling; Delores (Bernard) Vosberg; a brother-in-law, Eugene Cahill.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Burial was in St. Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson. Family and friends called on Sunday, January 15, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory, 1234 S. Madison, Lancaster and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
