Patricia L. Hauth

Patricia L. Hauth, age 71, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at her home. She was born on December 3, 1942, the daughter of Leonard and Eva (Leighty) Griswold. Pat attended Pine Knob rural school and later graduated from Lancaster High School in 1960. On June 4, 1966, she was united in marriage to Donald F. Sleepy Hauth at St. Clement Gymnasium in Lancaster. Pat was employed at Wisconsin Gas Company and later at Dicks Supermarket for over twenty-eight years. She volunteered at the Grant County Thrift Shop. Pat enjoyed her cats, spending time at home, reading, flower and vegetable gardening, bird watching, and visiting with her neighbors. She dearly loved her family and keeping up with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband, Sleepy Hauth; a son, John (Sandy) Hauth and their children, Owen and Carly; a daughter, Jody (Matt) Thuli and their sons, Jack and Emmett; her brother, Bob Griswold; a sister, Dorothy (Harold) Wetter; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a sister, Ada (Maynard Barney) Sanger; and a sister-in-law, Mary Griswold.

In keeping with Pats wishes, a private family funeral service was held with Father William Seipp officiating. Private family burial was held in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends and family called on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Patricia L. Hauth Memorial Fund has been established.
