Patricia A. Schroeder

Patricia A. Schroeder, age 57, of Cadott, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Pat was born September 2, 1952, in Richland Center, the daughter of Ernest and Jean (Marquardt) Krogman. She grew up in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1970. She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1987. She continued her education and earned a Masters Degree in Administration from Edgewood College 1996. Pat then became the principal of Holy Ghost School in Dickeyville, followed by Southwestern Elementary/Middle School in Hazel Green, and most recently, Cadott Elementary School in Cadott. She was an extraordinary educator who took pride in her strong sense of leadership and held much respect for her staff and colleagues.

On October 9, 2004, she married her beloved husband Thomas Schroeder in Dodgeville, WI. Together, they enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and friends at their cabin, and being with their children and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband Tom, Cadott; her three children: Cory (Molly) Fulton of Cincinnati, OH, Jennifer (Dusty) Strand of Rice Lake, and Michael Fulton of Eau Claire; three wonderful grandsons, her mother, Jean Krogman of Lancaster; Two brothers, John (Angie ) Krogman of Madison, Jim (Robyn) Krogman of Brookfield; two sisters, Joan (Rick) Zahalka of Marshfield, and Kris (Bob) Petrowitz of Lancaster; Four step- children and 5 step-grandchildren, along with many caring nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Krogman.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, October, 23, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father Phillip Krogman officiating. Friends called on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster assisted the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Patricia A. Schroeder memorial fund has been established.
