Naomi M. Gotto, age 91 passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. She was born November 20, 1922, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Bouzek) Benish. Naomi graduated from B. A. Kennedy High School, Prairie du Chien in 1940. She was employed with the U. S. Government in Prairie du Chien. Naomi married Francis Bud Gotto on January 15, 1947 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington. Together they farmed in Bloomington Township, until 1968 when they moved to Bloomington. She then went to work at the Pete Schurman Egg Company, and later was a secretary for Pride Seed Company. Naomi was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington. She enjoyed dancing with her husband Bud in North Andover on Saturday nights, playing bingo and cards.

Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Du Charme and Mary Wilson; four grandchildren, Tina (Kraig Shepherd) Anderson, Melissa (Matthew) Fry, Michael (Carrie) and David Gotto; seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Irene Beneker.

Naomi was preceded in death by her husband Bud; a daughter Sandra (Charles) Cull; her sons-in-law, Stanley Stosh Du Charme and Terry Breuer; a grandson, Christopher Breuer; and a brother-in-law, Glenn Beneker.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Martin Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial was in St. Marys Cemetery, Bloomington. Friends called on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers a Naomi M. Gotto memorial fund has been established.
