LANCASTER - Myron C. Reuter, age 94, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. He was born on April 14, 1930, in Tennyson, Wisconsin, to Lester and Mildred (Pitzen) Reuter. Myron graduated from St. Andrew High School, Tennyson in 1948. On June 5, 1956, he married the love of his life, Patricia J. Klar, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Mount Hope, and together they raised five children.

Pat and Myron visited the residents weekly at the Lancaster Care Center, where they enjoyed listening to the residents’ stories and helping escort them to weekly mass. For many years, Pat and Myron attended weekly Vigil Hour at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore until health reasons forced them to stop. They were often seen distributing food at the Lancaster Food Pantry.

Myron served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Lancaster VFW Post No. 2344 for 70 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2820. Myron owned and operated Reuter Oil company in Lancaster, and always had suckers for the kids when he made a delivery. He was a school bus driver for the Lancaster Community Schools for 17 years. Myron loved spending time with his family, and he enjoyed telling stories of the past. He enjoyed deer hunting with his sons and grandsons, ginseng hunting in the fall and morel hunting in the spring. In May of 2023, Myron went on the Badger Honor Flight to Washington DC with his son Chris as his guardian.
