Myron L. Miedaner, age 98, of Platteville, formerly of Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at his home in Platteville. He was born on March 30, 1915, in Schofield, WI, the son of Michael and Alma (Sternberg) Miedaner. Myron was united in marriage to Alice Fulwiler on October 16, 1939, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. He served his country in the United States Navy from June 25, 1944 until his honorable discharge on January 26, 1946. Myron was employed with A&P as a butcher for several years. He loved to garden and to play cards, especially Bridge. Myron also enjoyed playing Cribbage with his friends from the Senior Center.
Survivors include his children: Terrell Miedaner, Cochise, AZ; Dan Miedaner, Tucson, AZ; Jodi and Jim Tomlinson, Tucson, AZ; Carolyn Sue and Dennis Martin, Platteville; Mark and Debra Ann Miedaner, Oshkosh; Penelope Miedaner, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Donald and Micchi Miedaner, New York; Jack and Mona Miedaner, Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Myron was preceded in death by his wife, Alice and two brothers and four sisters.
Memorial services were held on Monday, April 29, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Platteville with Sister Agnes officiating. Family and friends called on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial services were on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum at 3:00 p.m. in Green Bay. Family and friends called on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at the mausoleum.
