Myrna Lea (Pittz) Thuli, a cherished wife, dedicated mother, fun-loving grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Born on August 27, 1942, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, to Harold and Dorothy Pittz, Myrna lived her life with grace, integrity, and kindness.
She married her beloved husband, Paul Thuli, and together they shared a beautiful journey of 62 years, grounded in love and family. Myrna’s devotion to Paul was unwavering, and their life together was filled with shared joys, laughter, and treasured memories.
Myrna’s greatest pride and joy was her family—her five children, to whom she was an incredible mother. Her children were always her priority, and she poured her heart into making them feel loved and supported. Myrna was also a devoted grandmother who took immense pleasure in life’s little moments, always quick to offer patience, comfort, and love. She inspired her grandchildren to embrace joy and to be a little silly. Her home was a gathering place filled with love and warmth, where family and friends were welcomed with good conversations, laughter, and hugs.
Myrna will be remembered for her uplifting spirit, generosity, and authentic faith. She was an endlessly positive and inspiring presence, dedicating countless hours to volunteer work and supporting others. Her strength was awe-inspiring, and she showed those around her how to live with grace and compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and poise that will forever be cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, her five children and their spouses—Perry (Lori), Paula O’Neil (Pat), Kelli Crane (Stephen), Heidi Thuli Young (Tim), and Matt (Jody)—and eight grandchildren: Anna and Grace O’Neil, Jack and Emmett Thuli, Catherine and William Crane, and Luke and Jude Young. She is also survived by her “partner-in-crime” and identical twin sister, Mary Kratochwill of Dodgeville, WI, and many other cherished family members near and far.
