Monroe J. "Mo" Adrian, age 85, of Cassville, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 9, 1932, in Cassville, the son of Conrad and Lillian (Wiest) Adrian. Mo graduated from Cassville High School in 1950 and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country for four years, serving in the Korean Conflict. On September 30, 1961, Mo was united in marriage to Judy Heberlein at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. He worked for his uncle, Cap Adrian in the oil business and later purchased the buisness. Mo and his wife, Judy owned and operated Adrian Oil Company for forty years. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, the American Legion Post No. 352 of Cassville and the Cassville Volunteer Fire Department for 36 years, serving as Chief for 10 of the 36 years. He enjoyed boating on the river, trips to Florida, and was a lifelong rodeo fan. He dearly loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Adrian; children, Darin (Lisa) Adrian and their children: Summer, Savannah, and Colton; Dana (Vince) Demarte and their children, Madelynne and Mason; Troy (Julie) Adrian and their children, Ian and Ty; his sister, Charlene (Robert) Zwitter; his in-laws: Bill (Penny) Heberlein; Diane (Merlin) Breihan; Vicky (Roger) Case; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Mo was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie (Frank) Camellino.
A Mass of Christian Burial along with military honors and a fireman's service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cassville with Father John Meinholz and Father William Seipp officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, where a 3:45 p.m. scripture service will be prayed. Friends may also call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, the family suggests memorials may be given to the Cassville Fire Department and/or Cassville Rescue Squad. Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory in Cassville is serving the family.
