Mildred L. Aide, age 89, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. She was born on July 11, 1919, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Thomas and Helen (Lane) Sutter. In 1938, Mildred was united in marriage to Donald B. Koeller. Together they owned and operated Koellers Dry Cleaning in Lancaster. Donald passed away in 1969. In 1974, she was united in marriage to Paul T. Aide. Together Mildred and Paul enjoyed traveling. He preceded her in death in 1995. In retirement, she enjoyed quilting, many of which are in homes throughout Grant County. She dearly loved spending time with her family and keeping up with their activities.
Survivors include her daughter: Judith (Paul) Valentine, Lancaster; her grandchildren: Michael (Marsha) Valentine, Green Bay; Kathy (Jeff) Swinehart, Hawthorn Woods, IL; Patrick (Alicia) Valentine, Oregon, WI; Tim (Melody Seemeyer) Koeller, Platteville; Troy (Becky) Koeller, Spring Green; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, Mildred was preceded in death by two sons, Donald W. Koeller and Thomas L. (Pat) Koeller; a beloved granddaughter, Kimberly Valentine Epperson and two grandsons in infancy.
Private Family Funeral Services were held on Sunday, June 21, 2009. Friends and relatives were welcome to a celebration of Mildreds life on Sunday, June 21, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Lancaster Country Club.
