Mickey E. Yoose

Mickey E. "Mick" Yoose, age 61, of Potosi, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. He was born on May 23, 1957, in Lancaster, the son of Earl and Virginia (Wieland) Yoose. Mick graduated from Lancaster High School in 1975. Following his graduation, Mick moved out West. In 1986, he returned to Potosi Township and helped his parents farm. They raised Holstein calves for several years. On April 16, 1988, Mick was united in marriage to Ellen "Elly" Ward in Darlington. In 2007, Mick and Elly purchased Yoder's Rockville Bar. He loved to socialize with friends over a shot of tequila and was a promoter of fun. Mick enjoyed hunting, fishing, baiting bear, and spending time up North. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed side-by-side rides.
Survivors include his loving wife, Elly; his children: Travis Roberts, and his son, Michael; Ethan (Jessica Welch) Yoose; Lucas (Ashley Spease) Yoose; his mother, Virginia Yoose; his sister, Vicki Udelhoven; other relatives and many friends.
Mick was preceded in death by his father, Earl Yoose.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery, South Lancaster Township. Family and friends may call on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Mickey E. "Mick" Yoose Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is serving the family.
