Michael R. Noethe, age 68, of Patch Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at home. He was born on December 22, 1944 in Prairie du Chien, WI, the son of Edward and Alice (Nies) Noethe. He married Kathleen A. Koschkee on August 20, 1966 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Mt. Hope, WI. Mike began farming at an early age on the family farm and retired in 2006. After his retirement, he enjoyed working with his son in a custom harvesting business. He was highly regarded by all who knew him. His greatest joys in life were his family; especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and having a good time.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy, of Patch Grove; daughter Kelli (Al) Kruser of Oregon, WI; son Michael Jr. (Paula) Noethe of Bagley, WI; and his five beloved grandchildren: Christopher, Zachary, and McKayla Noethe and Claire and Caiden Kruser. He is further survived by a sister, Cathy (Walt) Horsfall, Harpers Ferry, IA; three brothers: Jim (Nancy) of Princeton, IL, Pat (Susan) of Lake Mills, WI, and Tom (Deb) of St. Bonafacius, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Gerald.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington with Father John Meinholz officiating. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Patch Grove Township. Family and friends called on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bloomington and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Bloomington is assisting the family.
