Mary C. Wildman, age 78, of Cassville, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. She was born October 9, 1944, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the daughter of Francis and Maria (Sanchez) Castillo. Mary graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1963. Her career path led her to employment at Sandia Military Base in Albuquerque where she met her future husband, Robert O. “Buzz” Wildman. They were united in marriage on April 25, 1964, at Sandia Chapel, Albuquerque. Shortly after their marriage, Buzz convinced Mary to move back to his home town of Cassville, Wisconsin. In her early years in Cassville, Mary worked as a waitress at the Sand Bar Supper Club. Later, Mary was employed at Cassville High School as a media specialist for over 30 years. Mary was raised with strong Catholic roots and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, gardening, collecting wheat pennies and cooking authentic Mexican food for her family. It was no secret that Mary was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Mary was very proud and passionate of her Spanish background and spoke often of her childhood and her longing to return to Albuquerque. She dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Buzz; her children: Christine “Tina” (Donald) Mergen, Robert Jr. (Gina) and Anthony (Gretchen) Wildman; eight grandchildren: Danielle, Kelley, Nicole, Taylor, Spencer, Dillon, Danny, and Heidi; four great-grandchildren: Easton, Ella, Taya, Maddex, with another expected to arrive shortly; and many nieces and nephews who are all very dear to her heart.

Mary was the youngest of 11 children. Her only surviving sibling is her brother Rupert Castillo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ernest, Carmalita, Victor, Stella, Avilio, Felix, Tony, Lydia, Frankie and her great-grandson, Everett Haag.
