Marla Lee Straka

Marla Lee Straka passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Grant Regional Health Center. Marla was born on March 29, 1943 the daughter of Fred “Fritz” and Viola (Rossing) Stich. She married Francis “Frank” Straka on May 11, 1963. Marla dedicated her life to her loving family; caring for her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; three sons: Brad (Shirley) and their sons, Allen (Rachel Gray), and Brian (Ashley Oberbroeckling) and their daughter Bailey; Brent (Angie) and their children: Jared and Madison; Bart (Dana) and their children Evan, Caden and Rianna; and a sister, Lorre (friend, Denny Hofstetter) Brown.

In addition to her parents, Marla was preceded in death by a daughter, Nadine; a son, Barry; and a brother-in-law, John Brown.

A celebration of Marla’s life will be held on Thursday February 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Holiday Gardens Event Center (101 Brewery Hollow Rd. Potosi, WI, 53820). Private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of plants and flowers a Marla Lee Straka Memorial Fund has been established. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory of Potosi is serving the family.
