Mark H. Addison, age 55, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014, as a result of an ATV accident. He was born on November 7, 1958, the son of James and Patricia (Breihan) Addison. Mark graduated from Lancaster High School in 1976. It was in that year that he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Germany until 1979. On February 21, 1981, Mark was united in marriage to Barbara Ihm. Mark was employed as the North Lancaster Township Patrolman for over thirteen years. In 1994, he started Addison Bulldozing. Mark enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and music. He dearly loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children: Cory (Amanda) Addison; Laura (fianc Lance Wamsley) Addison; Michelle (fianc Julian Franco) Addison; four grandchildren: Leah, Austin, Jace, and Evren; his siblings: Chuck (Jill); Dennis; Larry (Carol); Sue (Terry) Bailie; Cheryl (Steve) Stohlmeyer; aunts, uncles, and cousins;
Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family funeral services and burial will be held at a later date. Friends called on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lancaster. In lieu of plants and flowers, a Mark H. Addison Memorial Fund has been established.
