Marilyn M. Grattan

Marilyn M. Grattan, age 80, formerly of Cassville, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster. Marilyn was born October 21, 1939, at the home farm in Beetown Township, daughter of H. Merwyn and EllaBelle (Clauer) Grattan. She graduated from Cassville High School in 1957. After graduation, Marilyn attended Mount Sinai School of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI & earned her Registered Nursing degree. She went to work for a doctor in private practice in Madison, for many years until she made the decision to come back home to help care for her father. Marilyn worked at Grant Community Clinic & Dean Clinic in Lancaster, WI until her retirement. Marilyn throughout the years has been a great strength to her family & friends. She will be dearly missed.

Marilyn is survived by siblings: Kathleen Wolfe, Tyrell “Ted” (Zena) Grattan, all of Lancaster, WI; David (Judy) Grattan, of Beetown, WI; Kenneth “Ken” (Charlene) Grattan, of Cassville, WI; Roger Grattan, of Bagley, WI; Rochelle (David) Clifton, of Potosi, WI. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Keith Grattan, her niece, Sheri Mumm, her great nephew, William Ginter, brother-in-law William Wolfe and sister-in-law Beth Grattan.

In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, there will be a private family burial at the Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, at a later date. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster is assisting the family.
